Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine

Naturopathy

Naturopathy is the philosophy of the complete well being: body, mind, spirit. It looks at a person as a whole, as an extra-ordinary individual with its own history.

A naturopath will seek to understand what is causing the issue in order to help. We merely work on the general vitality in order for the body to correct itself without too much outside interference. We usually refer to it as the “Healing Power of Nature”, one’s ability to heal itself.

Here are the modalities I am mostly working with:

  • Nutrition
  • Lifestyle management
  • Physical exercise
  • Herbal Medicine

Herbal Medicine

Working with herbs…

…is choosing one of the oldest healing traditions, that saw humankind through the centuries. Herbs were by our side, as food and remedies, part of a daily routine that was passed on in families and close communities. A folk medicine, accessible for all, without distinction of classes.

With the advance of modern medicine, this knowledge went underground, while the general population, embraced “progress”.

But Herbal Medicine is as relevant today as it was in the past. With more than 5000 herbs worldwide to choose from, it is a real contender to make us feel better, improve our life and help us to live fuller.

And a herb…

…is a living organism, reaching down and high for resources to grow, adapt, flourish and give back. They are rich in minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and chemical substances, and show signs of great vitality and resilience. Herbal remedies will encapsulate all those qualities for us to use.
